Does your fridge get messy too easily? Do you stuff new items from the grocery store in your fridge?
I had that problem too and wanted to fix it. I wanted to find something to help me organize my fridge better and stay mess free as much as possible.
Below are three simple tips on keeping your fridge organized.
3 Simple Tips to Organize your Fridge
1. Clean out your fridge BEFORE you go grocery shopping. After coming home from a Target grocery shopping trip, I would stuff food in the fridge and try to take out expired milk, bad fruit, old leftovers, etc. out of the fridge at the same time. When I did it that way, it was way to easy for my fridge to get stuffed, messy, and unorganized. Now before I get more food, I look through my fridge and get rid of anything that isn’t good anymore.
2. Use organized trays to keep your food items together. I bought a set of 6 fridge storage trays from Sam’s Club to organize my fridge. The set came with an egg tray to place my eggs inside and on the top of the lid, I wrote the expiration date of the eggs. One tray I placed my romaine lettuce inside and two trays I placed oranges and apples inside. The last two trays I used for some larger condiments and my flip yogurts and refrigerated bars. I love how this set keeps all my food organized and together. I might eventually buy another tray for my water.
3. Label containers and trays with an erasable marker. Labeling everything helps you keep items in categories. Plus you can write down any expiration dates or when you put something in the fridge.
