True Love Thursday is a weekly post series on the subject of love. I’ll talk about loving yourself and others to ways to making yourself a better person.
Welcome to another day of the All You Need Is Love Project by Carmen at ShuGar Love.
This week’s topic is: How do you demonstrate your devotion to someone you love? Are you more of a doer or a sayer? Check out last week’s topic.
When it comes to my husband and I demonstrating our love for each other, we are both a doer and a sayer.
We say, ‘I love you’ every day – more than we can count. It is very important that we tell each other that we love each other. We never get tired of hearing the words over and over again.
Our action to each other also shows that we love each other. We will help each other out during the day to make our day go better. One of the ways I show my husband I love him is by cooking for him. He loves my cooking and especially looks forward to dinner when I make my Chinese. One of the ways my husband shows me he loves me is by helping me out with our girls. He will change a diaper or simply play with our girls so I can cook dinner.
Right after my husband proposed to me, we wanted to demonstrate our love for each other. We went back to the place he proposed to me and carved our initials into the tree he proposed by. Our initials with the heart around them will be on that tree forever demonstrating our love for each other.
When it comes to love, it can be demonstrated in so many ways. Love is limitless. How do you demonstrate your devotion to someone you love?
Visiting from ShuGar Love, I enjoyed reading your post 🙂
Thanks for stopping by my blog! Hope to hear from you more. 🙂
Oh, Julie. I cried with this one. You both have such a loving relationship. I just love how you are both doers and sayers. And those initials! How wonderful for your girls to see this and realize the devotion you have for each other.
🙂 We haven’t been back to that tree in years. We’ll have to go there again. One day my girls will see the tree also.
I cook for my husband, too. He loves to be fed!
It’s so fun to cook.
Thank you for sharing this post at City of Creative Dream’s City of Links on Friday! I appreciate you taking the time to party with me. Hope to see you again this week 🙂
