Do your kids love nature? My girls, Katie and Sophia, love being outside and discovering nature. Since they love finding things such as leaves and pine cones, I thought I would create a nature jar for Katie and Sophia to place things they found outside.

Every time we went outside to play or go for a walk, they found more and more things. Eventually the one nature jar turned into two jars. Katie and Sophia’s favorite things to collect was leaves, pine cones, sticks, and flowers.

Have your kids ever created a nature jar of the things they found outside? If they haven’t, they definitely should! I bet they will love collecting things from nature as much as my girls do.

This post is part of a post series called Life of Parenthood, which is on the subject of parenting. I’ll talk about any adventures we have with our girls to motherhood experiences to fun and games for children to featuring mommy bloggers.

  1. This is a lovely idea! My children have always loved collecting nature to bring indoors, but it usually ended up on a counter. I love the idea of a jar where it is contained, but can still be seen.
Thank you for sharing and linking up at Wake Up Wednesday!
