Words on Parenting Wednesday is a weekly post series on the subject of parenting. I’ll talk about any adventures we have with our girls to motherhood experiences to fun and games for children.
Guess what? Spring is actually here! The snow is all gone. The ground is still damp, but I’d take that over snow.
One day last week got to 78 degrees. It was a perfect day to go outside. My husband got off of work early, so we decided to take the girls outside to play in the afternoon. Of course, we had to go take a park adventure. Katie has wanted to go to the park all winter. Plus this was Sophia’s first experience of playing in the park.
We found a perfect park for Katie and Sophia. Katie was having fun playing with another girl that was there. Sophia was having fun with me as we walked together throughout the park. My girls did lots of climbing and went down the slide many times. Sophia went down the slide all by herself while Daddy was at the bottom of the slide to catch her. Then of course I got to go down the slide myself.
At the end of the park adventure, Katie and Sophia worked up an appetite and scarfed down their food. They ate more than we thought they would eat.

Thanks! Our weather has gone back and forth. It actually snowed yesterday and stayed on the ground. Then it melted right away.
