Have you ever tried yoga? If so, what did you think of it?
I have done yoga on multiple occasions and loved it. I love the overall feeling while doing yoga and the feeling afterwards.
I love to do the longer sessions of yoga instead of the shorter ones. I’ve tried a workout video that focused on yoga on Beachbody. I did two of the sessions at once, but I still didn’t feel that it worked for me.
While I am doing yoga, my girls have joined me on multiple occasions. One time Katie grabbed her blanket as a mat and put her hair up to exercise with me. Although it is nice to do yoga by myself, it’s important for my girls to see me exercising and staying healthy.
You only need several supplies to do yoga. First you need a yoga video, which you can probably find one on your smart TV apps. You can also use Beachbody On Demand. The video I’ve used for yoga is P90X, which I own. I’ve also tried the yoga video on P90X2 on Beachbody, which is a great workout as well. After you have a video, you need a yoga mat and exercise clothes. You won’t need to wear shoes since you’ll have better balance without them.
Below are four benefits of yoga.
4 Benefits of Yoga
1. Helps you relax. While you are doing each move in yoga, you take lots of deep breathes, which helps your body calm down and really relax.
2. Helps clear your mind. After your body is relaxed, your mind is more clear and focused.
3. Improves your balance. It’s crazy how after doing yoga, your overall balance during yoga improves. You will find that you’re able to do certain moves more easily.
4. Relieves sore muscles. While you are doing the moves in yoga, you are stretching your body. It feels so great on your muscles. They can get really sore from exercising.
Check out this post on the Huffington Post on how yoga can change your body starting the day you begin.
