As of today, I’m back blogging. It’s great to be back! I took a little blogging break the past two months. What have I been up to?
I’ve been working on my New Year’s Resolution to lose 15-20 lbs. I have been exercising three days a week and eat healthier.
I am also in the process of potty training both of my girls at the same. Yes at the same time. It is a challenge, but I’m starting out slowly.
I recently started ABC Mouse with my girls. It is a great online learning space and my girls love it.
Over these past two months, I’ve been thinking of lots of post ideas, writing blog posts, and coming up with some blogging goals that I want to focus on this year.
1. Family comes first, then blogging. I need to focus most of my time on my husband and girls. I’ve found that blogging can very easily consume most of my time. I’ll still take moments to sit down and blog, but my priorities come first.
2. Post at least two times per week. As much as I’d like to post five days a week like I used to, it is a lot of work. And like I said in #1, my family comes first.
3. Write more inspirational posts. I want to be able to inspire my readers. What do you need to be inspired to do? I’m in the process of writing an inspirational post that I will be sharing with you. I’m excited to inspire/motivate you!
4. Get involved more with my readers. I want to get to know more about who my readers are. I want to help my readers out with whatever questions they may have. Send them my way! I may not be a professional, but I do have life experience as a mother, a wife, a cook, etc.
And again, it’s great to be back! What are your goals for this year?
My goals are similiar! Mainly the one about interacting more with readers, being inspiring and posting twice a week. But I also just want to keep life simple and have fun! Thanks for sharing your list! I enjoyed learning something about you on my first visit to your blog!
It is great to make goals. I agree about having fun. It’s great to meet you! Glad you stopped by! Hope you hear from you again!
I totally understand taking a break, sometime we just have to reflect. I agree#4 to be true for me, it is the most important to get involved with readers, and to build relationships with them, otherwise what would our time spent just writing be without the support of readers and followers. I try everyday to make a few new friends, finding blog to check out through linky parties to broaden my base.
Thank you for sharing on The Oh My Heartsie Girl WW this week. Hope you will visit often.
I have liked your post and another, checked out your boards and followed on Pinterest and visited and like your Facebook page.
Hope you will enjoy the rest of your week, and welcome back!!!

It was nice taking couple months off. I really needed the break. I try to find new blogs and friends as well to connect with. There are so many out there. You’re welcome and thanks for liking my posts and my social media! Enjoy the rest of your week as well! 🙂
I need inspiration on potty training. I remember all too well what it was like to potty train my daughter and I am not looking forward to potty training my son. Kudos to you for doing both girls at the same time!
Don’t we all. lol Potty training can be a lot of work. Good luck on potty training your son!
Good thoughts… the potty training will be “fun” 🙂 …. actually training 2 at once MAY be a bit easier… hopefully. 🙂
My 2 year old daughter enjoys going on the potty more than my 3 year old daughter. I’ve been able to get my 2 year old to go both #1 and #2 many times. My 3 year old doesn’t want to. I can get her to sit and go #1 couple times, but that’s about it. I think I have to go a different route with her.
love your goals making blogging part of your life but not taking it over
come see us at http://shopannies.blogspot.com
Thanks! I still need to enjoy my time with my husband and girls. And I don’t want blogging to completely take over my relationship with them. I’ll check out your blog!
These are very well-thought out goals. I am all about making goals! My goal for March is to increase my Instagram followers for more exposure (: Visiting from http://www.andieconn.com/free-printables-st-patricks-day/ and would love a visit back!
Thanks! Goals are very important to make. That’s a great goal to have. I’ll check out your blog and follow you on all social media as well. Thanks for stopping by and I’m looking forward to connecting with you!
Great goals!! How old are your girls?? My son just turned 3 and we need to get him potty trained but he doesn’t seem interested so I am not pushing it. How is ABC Mouse going?? I have heard about it but never checked it out. We homeschool so that may be something that would be helpful for my baby.
My girls are 2 and 3. My 3 year old got more interested since her sister was. My girls love ABC Mouse. I think you should definitely check it out. Your son would love it. Plus they can have their own pet(s), decorate their room, and change clothes on their avatar.
I have been keeping my niece a good bit lately and she is 2. My sister is really pushing to get her potty trained. So I am hoping my son will be more interested since his BFF is doing it. I will definitely check out ABC Mouse!!
I have more than one potty so they can each have their own. I also have a paper on the door in the bathroom for them to put stickers on whenever they go #1 or #2.
I have been thinking about getting another potty so that I can have one for each of them. But she isn’t here all the time. I have a bowl with candy in the window and every time she uses the potty she gets a piece. Of course that means my son is also wanting the candy so we are encouraging him to go potty.
I have M&Ms in the cupboard as treats as well. They get a small sucker if they go #2.
My goal this year was to get my blog up and working. I got it up and did some posting. I am having a hard time getting people to subscribe though. Do you have any tips to share?
I subscribed to your blog! I would recommend having your blog on social media such as Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest (I found your Pinterest and followed.). I also put my blog on Bloglovin’. To get more views and follows, I would link your posts to Link Parties. I have a menu of parties I link to under ‘Let’s Party!’ Let me know if you have any other questions.
Thank you for the tips. I have been ‘doing parties’. I found a lot of good projects and interesting blogs too.
I put an occasional post on my facebook account. I feel like I am trying to ‘sell’ to my friends when I do that though. It is weird going from posting pics and general socializing to posting something that I want to make a business out of one day. I need to get over this feeling, I guess.
Thank you for following me, don’t hesitate to give me constructive criticism where you see fit. I never imagined blogging would be so much work. It is very personal too, we expose a lot of ourselves. 🙂
I guess you are kind of ‘selling’ your posts. You want to have a title and say something that your readers will be intrigued to click your post to read. Blogging is a lot of work. It’s more than writing and a posting a post. You have to get your post out there for readers to read.
Plus comment on lots of posts. That usually helps a lot.
Welcome back to the blogging world and congrats on your goal to become healthier!
Your goals are very wise and I follow them myself. As much as we love blogging, our families must come first.
Blessings to you and yours. I’m so happy to have found your blog!
Thanks! I’ve already lost 15 lbs! When it comes to blogging and family, there needs to be a happy medium – blogging shouldn’t take over your time with your family. Looking forward to connecting with you!
I completely understand about the family goal. I sometimes get so engulfed some weeks in blogging, I completely neglect my friends, family, and other things.
This year I’m working on finding the balance and forcing myself to not work on my blog every single day.
Thanks so much for sharing at Talented Tuesday Link Party, hope to see you again this week!
I used to write every night for my blog. It got to be too much for me. I now try to have a day or two to get posts ready for the week. And you’re welcome! See you next week! Thanks for commenting!
