I Will Always Love You

Who will you always love?

*This post is dedicated to my husband.

I will always love you.

Since the moment I met you, I feel head over heels for you. I got those butterflies whenever I saw you.

We wanted to spend every moment with each other. We would hang out together, eat lunch or dinner together, enjoy nature together, or even a late night snack at Denny’s or Perkin’s.

During one week during the summer while I was gone, I knew I loved you. I missed you the whole week I was away. I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life with you.

I told you I loved you. You told me you loved me too.

As the months went on, we fell more and more in love with each other.

Later that Fall, you asked me one simple question.

“Will you marry me?”

And I said yes!

We married each other three months later. We said to each other that we will always love each other until death do us part.

Fast forward seven years of marriage and three beautiful girls, I still love you and I always will.

My love for you grows more each day. We may have our days where we are mad or upset at each other, but at the end of the day, we love each other.

You are mine and I am yours.

I will always love you.

I hope this post encourages you to always love someone. Who will you always love and cherish?

This post is part of a post series called True Love, which is on the subject of love. I’ll talk about loving yourself and others to ways to making yourself a better person.

  1. Such a beautiful post. And oh, I remember those early days too…. and thinking about them reminds me of the sweet life and love we’ve built together, my husband and I.

  2. One year, I jokingly told my husband that I just wanted a love letter for our anniversary. He did write one and it was such a sweet gift. When we are in a happy marriage, it can be easy to assume that our spouse knows how much we value them and we forget to verbalize it. Beautiful read!

I better get to writing my own tribute to my husband.

  3. I loved this post simply because every person deserves to find forever. I’m a tried and true believer in happily ever after but haven’t found mine yet. Thanks for reminding me that it’s possible.

  4. What a great way to honor your love story. I remember the first time I was away from my husband (then my boyfriend) for a long period of time and I kept thinking about him. Like obsessing – lol. It was pretty evident at that moment I had found my person :).

  5. Beautiful post! So happy you found your forever. I remember when I told my now husband that the day I met him I told a friend I would marry him and it turned out to be true. They say when you find someone you just know.

    1. I always wondered how you knew you were in love with someone. People kept on telling me that you just knew. I thought that it had to be more than that. But then I feel in love and I just knew.

  6. such a sweet post to your hubby! and a great reminder to cherish those we love!
