Last year, I created myself a cleaning schedule. I was able to keep up with my schedule and do mostly everything on my list. But if one night, day, or weekend I wasn’t able to stay on schedule, things would fall apart. I would get behind and some times it was hard to stay on track again. I would do what I needed to do that day, but in my mind I would think about all the things I wasn’t able to do the week before.
So lately, I’ve been so behind. I bet there are many of you out there that know what I mean – especially moms. Since Spring is coming, I want to get back on track. I’ve been searching different solutions to help me out. I found on Better Homes and Gardens tips to having an organized cleaning schedule.
Before I put my cleaning schedule on my phone (which worked), but I wanted to create a visual list to hang in my kitchen. I searched on Pinterest and found a cleaning schedule created in a Word document by Knot & Nest. I tweaked it a little to make it my own. I printed it out and placed the list in a see-through sheet protector. That way I could easily check items off of my list and wipe it off for the next week.
So this week is my fresh start to having a clean house by following my cleaning schedule. I know I can do it. Will you stay on a cleaning schedule with me?
What are some tips you use to keep yourself on track? I would love to get your input on your own cleaning schedule.
Scheduling works for me too, and I follow it diligently. Nowadays, I clean faster since there’s little cleaning to do. Sometimes I even skip. I schedule my tasks for daily, every other day and weekly cleaning. Clean one area at a time.
I am a big lists person for everything! It really just makes me happy to see things checked off. What I suggest is breaking down big tasks to tiny ones so you feel accomplished. It’s helped me out a lot! Best of luck on your cleaning schedule! Cleaning is one of the weird things that makes me happy. I can’t think with clutter =)
I love lists too. Plus I love to be organized. I hate seeing things not in order.
I’ve tried and failed every cleaning schedule I’ve ever tried 🙂 maybe I’ll try again lol
I hoping this go around for helps having a visual list I can see. I love seeing items checked off.
